CS 1995 "City of Zurich – Industrial site Sulzer-Escher Wyss: Re-integration of an industrial site"

Industrieareal Zürich

Examining the re-integration od released industrial sites, the case study 1995 investigated questions of assessing, controlling, and implementing ecological considerations within the construction process. The main questions were:

  • What is the framework, what are the criteria of environmentally sound construction?
  • Are we able to evaluate and to rate the environmental benefits and impacts and losses that may result from construction in early stages of planning?
  • Which necessities result from the view of tomorrow's environment to be addressed to today's constructing? How may of the aspects of sustainability be understood?
