The aim of the study was to optimise the ecological performance of the Swiss Railway Company SBB. It focussed on the eco-efficiency of activities, projects and investments especially designed to minimize the ecologically harmful effects of transport services. As examples the fields of Nature and Landscape, Contaminated Areas, Energy consumption and Noise reduction were chosen.
